Small Antler handle knife w/ integral bolster

$450.00

This hand-forged knife features an integral bolster and an aged antler handle. The drop point blade is approx. 4 1/2" with the handle measuring 4". Leather spacer between antler and bolster. This knife and sheath are made in a style known as the "Woodbury School", named after Hershel, Frank, and John House of Woodbury, Ky. These brothers create contemporary versions of early American knives, axes, and rifles, and have inspired and influenced me since I started smithing. With a rugged-looking rawhide sheath made from deerskin and decorated with original 19th-century "feather" trade beads this knife looks and feels like it would be at home on the belt of John Colter or Hugh Glass. Forged from 1085 high carbon steel. PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A MADE TO ORDER KNIFE. YOU WILL NOT RECIEVE THE KNIFE PICTURED BUT ONE VERY SIMILAR TO IT.
